More About Deb

Deb has over twenty years of experience in Human Resources, most prominently in the technology, media and staffing. Deb’s most recent in-house position was Vice President of Employee Experience for OfferUp, a Bellevue-based mobile marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers locally. During Deb’s four years with OfferUp, she helped navigate the company through it’s accelerated growth, building the employee foundation from it’s initial ten employees to over 250. She built OfferUp’s overall employee experience, managing all Human Resources, Recruiting, Office Operations and IT functions. She helped guide the organization from an early-stage technology startup, through exceptional employee growth and evolution. Her efforts included developing OfferUp’s initial employee benefits portfolio, compensation framework, employer branding and talent acquisition strategies, performance management practices, and compliance efforts. Her experience spans the spectrum of HR functions, most prominently in employee acquisition, growth and retention, compensation and benefits and organizational development.

Deb’s passion for Human Resources begins with the belief that employees are a company’s most vital asset and resource. Her expertise is working within all levels of an organization to align employee talent and create an environment where employees and the organization as a whole are all working to achieve and contribute their fullest potential. Deb has extensive experience partnering with executive leadership to define company values and culture and uses her enthusiasm and open communication style to foster values throughout the organization. She leads by example and is a trusted partner and advocate for all levels of the company.

Deb holds a B.A. in French and International Business from The University of Puget Sound. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and has achieved certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Deb is also a RYT-200 certified yoga instructor and leads annual yoga teacher training programs locally in the Seattle area.
