Every Client is unique, and we spend time getting to know each business, what they need, what their culture is, and where they want to go. We become part of the team, an extension of the leadership group, and trusted advisors. No one-size-fits-all playbook here. Karina Miller talks about how she adapts her approach for each Client:

“I assist in having leadership align with each other, and employees align with leadership using company mission, values, vision, and goals as my guiding stars. I match my approach to the individual leader and seek to understand so that I can earn their trust. For example, if they have a bias for action, I take action. If they like to make slow, thoughtful decisions using a lot of data, I accommodate that. If the leader needs to process their thoughts out loud to an unbiased 3rd party, I’m that person.” 

We build long term relationships

Over 70% of our current Clients have been with us for over a year. This is because of the incredible value we bring and the relationships we form. Because we get to work with Clients for so long, our Consultants get to know exactly what a team needs to be successful. Senior HR Consultant Nikki Clarke conducts customized training every quarter for the leadership team of one of her Clients. 

“The training I develop is based on timely organization needs and relevance. This includes breakout discussion groups, realistic mock scenarios and facilitation/discussion of best applied practices. The leaders learn together as a group and help shape the culture through this collective learning process”, says Nikki.

Our Consultants go above and beyond and are skilled enough to see opportunities for improvement. When Consultant TU Jacobs needed to renew benefits for her Client, she wasn’t content with simply accepting the rate increase. 

“Our benefit renewal came in at 7%. That is pretty standard, but instead of going with an automatic renewal, I looked at other options and implemented an HSA with no cost increase and more funds/flexibility for the team. This group has only 10 people but we were able to keep rates flat and improve the benefit options.”
