Karina Miller, SPHR

Senior Consultant

“Karina is amazing! She helped my company and me personally in ways that were life-changing. I can’t give a strong enough recommendation to her!”

Jason Chan, Founder & CTO
TV2 Consulting

“Like many good HR leaders, Karina is a thoughtful listener. Unlike so many other HR leaders, Karina is also willing to be blunt. Our company culture celebrates and reward directness. Most people in the Pacific Northwest shy away from that behavior, so it is really nice to have someone be genuine, authentic, and declarative. It’s so much easier to solve problems when everyone is being as direct as possible. Having said that, Karina is also gentle when needed. She’s a great asset to our team.”

An entrepreneur at heart, Karina has been supporting other entrepreneurs and their teams in winning for the past 25 years. She’s grateful to have spent 14 years of her HR career helping grow Impinj, Inc. from a handful of people and patents to the most successful IPO of 2016. For the past 2 years, she has served a variety of organizations in Portland and Seattle as a Sr. HR Consultant and SwiftLeadership™ Facilitator working with high-growth and entrepreneurial companies.

Over the course of her career, she’s had P&L accountability, owned her own businesses, and held HR leadership roles in VC-funded and founder-led companies primarily in the high-tech and consulting industries. Karina has successfully partnered with senior management teams and Boards to create human resource strategies that focus on the needs of the business. She is passionate about getting a team of business leaders into a room together to create how they are going to work together to win.

Karina loves working with small, dynamic, people-oriented organizations that are up to something big. As an HR geek with over 30-years of experience, she combines her passion for accomplishment with her empathy for humans to provide a down-to-earth, flexible, and fun approach to solving problems and getting stuff done. She has served in a wide variety of organizations and industries across the US and Canada, and enjoys learning about and adapting to what makes each organization and team special.

She is also a proud UW Husky, holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, and is always doing something to develop herself as a human being. She is currently a digital nomad, roaming the US full-time in an RV with her spouse and is into all sorts of outdoor adventures. Her guilty pleasure is binge watching a good TV series with a bowl of truffle-salted popcorn.
