More About Caprice

After various HR roles at the Westin Hotels corporate offices, Caprice became the first head of HR at tech startup Bsquare where she oversaw its growth from 40 employees to over 600. She has since held dozens of leadership and consultant roles in high tech, hospitality, schools and health care. Caprice has delivered hundreds of presentations on topics ranging from performance improvement to respectful workplace. She has overseen the opening and closing of hotels and technology company offices in the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan.

Caprice is passionate about providing better value for investment in people by aligning HR best practices with corporate strategy, vision, and mission. Her expertise is in working with business leaders to design and implement effective HR systems in alignment with company goals. She has worked with small and mid-sized companies through periods of rapid growth as well as layoffs. Both a skilled strategic business partner to company executives and a trusted employee advocate, Caprice has special depth in benefits, compensation, and cost containment.

Caprice received her M.A. from the University of Washington and her B.A. from Willamette University, and speaks five languages. She is a member of SHRM and the High Tech Human Resources Roundtable and regularly attends continuing HR education seminars.
